GTM Architects of Bethesda, MD has announced completion of the 49,000 sq. ft. Long Reach Tennis Club located in Columbia, MD.

GTM provided full-service architecture for the climate-controlled, six-court, indoor tennis facility including the completion of a clubhouse, pro shop, viewing lounge, refreshment bar, offices, locker rooms, elevator, storage and utility rooms. The clubhouse alone houses a reception area, galley, restrooms, meeting areas and a mezzanine level for viewing tennis through large windows.

Long Reach Tennis Club—which will be the first Columbia Association (CA) tennis facility with on-site racket stringing service—was designed to be an environmentally-sustainable facility complete with solar panels, LED court lights, electric car charging stations, above-code insulation, high-efficiency HVAC systems and on-site bio-retention facilities.

The project’s design team included GTM Partner, David Konapelsky, Associate Traci Weems and Project Coordinator Karina Perez-Ayalde, all of whom are available for interviews regarding Long Reach Tennis Club as well as previous GTM commercial sports facilities projects including the Owen Brown Tennis Clubhouse and the Tennis Center at College Park
