Johns Hopkins Announces Benefit Golf Event

Sep 05, 2023

MS4MS (Mission Stadiums for Multiple Sclerosis) is hosting a fundraising event for Johns Hopkins Hospital on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena, MD.

The golf outing will include a day full of golf, food, drinks, and fun! Funds raised from the event will support the Johns Hopkins MS Research Center and individuals impacted by MS. Dr. Ellen Mowry, Professor of Neurology and Epidemiology and Co-Director of Multiple Sclerosis Precision Medicine will be in attendance, providing an update on their latest research on finding a cure for MS.

We will be #SpreadingORANGE to show support for those impacted by MS. Local MS Warrior and former Navy choir member, Kristin Pagent, will sing the national anthem. The event is sponsored by Bristol Myers Squibb.

MS4MS raises awareness and generates funding for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research - a neurological disease that affects over 2.5 million people worldwide. Our unique approach uses sports and entertainment to raise awareness of MS at all stadiums while raising funds directly for families impacted by MS and for the advancement of research at the Johns Hopkins Project Restore MS Research Center in hopes of finding a cure. The latest event involved #spreadingORANGE at a Red Sox game in July and drew over 175 people.

MS4MS Founder Sam Greenberg said “Each event allows our team to share more about MS and the various ways we support those who have been impacted. Our mission is to bring more of a focus to this important cause - which is in desperate need of funding. MS4MS is designed to raise awareness, support, hope, and action and we focus on all 4 of those pillars to improve the lives of those suffering from multiple sclerosis.”
