Volleyball Manitoba - 2014 Provincial Championships in Winnipeg

Volleyball Manitoba is pleased to announce the 2014 Provincial Volleyball Championships have begun and will continue with participation of 166 registered teams from across the Manitoba and North-Western Ontario.

This past weekend featured championship events in six categories including the following:

18U Girls – Winkler, Northlands Parkway Collegiate & Garden Valley Collegiate
18U Boys – Brandon, Brandon University Healthy Living Centre
17U Girls – Portage La Prairie, Portage Collegiate, Arthur Meighen & Yellowquill Schools
17U Boys – Brandon, Brandon University Healthy Living Centre
14U Girls – Winnipeg, Daniel McIntyre & Mennonite Brethren Collegiates
14U Boys – Winnipeg, Maples Collegiate

The coming May 3 & 4 weekend will then feature championship events in five categories including the following:
16U Girls – Brandon, Brandon University Healthy Living Centre & Crocus Plains HS
16U Boys – Winkler, Northlands Parkway Collegiate & Garden Valley Collegiate
15U Girls – Winnipeg, Daniel McIntyre & Mennonite Brethren Collegiates
15U Boys - Brandon, Brandon University Healthy Living Centre
13U Girls – Winnipeg, Maples Collegiate

Manitoba boasts a rich history of volleyball success at the local, provincial, national and international levels and this success is spurred by our provinces passion for the sport, and that passion will be quite evident at these provincial championships. Over the two weekends teams will compete for the title of Volleyball Manitoba Provincial Champions, with several teams advancing to the Volleyball Canada Western and National Championship events in May.
