Heartland Soccer Association, the largest U.S. soccer league and tournament host, will hold the sixth annual Midwest College Showcase from March 6-8 at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.
More than 1,000 boys and girls players, ages U-13 through U-19, are expected to compete. The event offers a focused showcase environment for athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Along with tournament matches, players can participate in a combine where they will train with and be evaluated by college coaches, creating a valuable two-way evaluation opportunity for both players and collegiate programs.
The showcase offers players the unique opportunity to compete in front of college coaches from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA. Coaches can attend in person or remotely evaluate talent via VidSport, a cutting-edge platform that live-streams and records games in high-quality footage.
VidSport enhances the scouting, training, and recruitment process while also allowing fans to watch the games from anywhere. The Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex, home to the world’s largest fixed AI camera installation, provides coaches across the country the ability to evaluate players in real-time from a distance.
“We’re excited to host an event that gives players a platform to compete at a high level and gain exposure to college coaches,” said Dave Morrow, tournament director. “It’s a valuable opportunity for athletes to showcase their abilities while continuing to prepare for the spring season.”
The event begins Friday at 5:30 p.m., with games continuing Saturday and Sunday starting at 8 a.m.
Heartland Soccer’s spring tournament series continues with the Heartland Spring Cup on March 13–15, which is expected to draw more than 200 teams. Up next is the Kansas City Champions Cup on April 17–19, projected to host more than 400 teams. The series wraps up in May with the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic and the Kansas City Invitational, and teams can still register for both tournaments.
