Heartland Soccer Association, America’s largest league and tournament host, will kick off its first of two weekends of the Heartland Invitational Tournament starting this Friday, November 5th at the SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex and the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex. The Girls (Nov. 5-7) and Boys (Nov. 12-14) tournaments will host more than 800 teams between the two weekends of play.

With teams traveling in from all over the Kansas City metropolitan area and various states, the economic impact is estimated to be $11.9 million over both weekends (event estimations provided by Visit KC).

“The Heartland Invitational continues its reputation as the biggest and best tournament in the Kansas City area; split over two weekends (Girls weekend and Boys weekend) to accommodate the number of teams wanting a chance to compete one last time,” explained Shane Hackett, Heartland Soccer Association executive director. “We are excited to welcome more than 800 teams from throughout the central United States for this end of year showdown.”

The first set of games will start at 5:30PM on Friday. Saturday and Sunday games will begin at approximately 8:00AM with the award ceremonies starting after noon on Sunday.
