The Hamilton County Sports Authority announced that Grand Park Sports Campus will host NXTsports’ inaugural lacrosse tournament, “The Grail,” for the next three years, beginning in 2016.
The event is projected to draw 48 U9, U11, U13, U15 and high school level lacrosse teams from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Missouri.
“We’re excited that Hamilton County is The Grail’s first host destination,” said William Knox, Hamilton County Sports Authority director. “We look forward to partnering with NXTsports over the next several years as the event grows.”
Ryan Long, Director, NXTevents cites that Hamilton County’s proximity and accessibility to many major cities made Grand Park an attractive choice for the inaugural location.
“Having The Grail at such a large and state-of-the-art venue like Grand Park will allow for the tournament to grow to hundreds of teams in the future,” Long said. “Running an event at a venue like Grand Park is opportunity that doesn’t come around very often.”
The Grail will take place at Grand Park July 9-10, 2016.
