DuPage Sports Commission Announces Lineup of High-Profile Sports Events

DuPage Sports Commission has announced a number of high profile sports events.

 

DuPage County’s Westmont One Of Three North American Stops Announced By World Aquatics  

2025 Swimming World Cup, October 17 – 19, 2025 at FMC Natatorium at Ty Warner Park 

  • This event marks Westmont’s debut as a host city for an international aquatic competition.
  • Westmont is the second stop in this series following Carmel, Indiana which hosts stop one on October 10-12. Toronto hosts the finale October 23-25. All locations will feature three days of short-course (25m) racing.

  • Formerly known as the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA), World Aquatics is the exclusive world governing body for all aquatics: swimming, artistic swimming, open water swimming, diving, high diving, and water polo.   


Return of Women’s Golf Event Celebrated By Golf Americas And Local Partners

  • 2024 marked the kick-off for this great event, with more than 30 female golfers enjoying networking, a complimentary golf clinic, and keynote speaker, Wintrust Wealth Management CEO Mary Ann Korenic. This year’s event is sure to be even bigger.
  • Golf Americas is once again a presenting partner, with Elevation Golf returning this year to run the golf clinic.

Ultimate Camp Takes Disc Skills To The Next Level

USA Ultimate Talent ID Camp, June 28, 2025 at Oak Brook Park District Fields

  • This will be the first time DuPage will host this event, spearheaded by IL Ultimate in partnership with USA Ultimate.
  • Current National U20 team coach, Reid Koss, will be directing the camp. Coach Koss has led 3 U20 teams to Gold Medal finishes in the World Youth Club Championships (2018, 2022, and 2024). This is a premier opportunity for Ultimate players ages 14 to 19 to test their skill level while gaining insight into the U.S. National Team tryout processes. 
  • Major sport milestones: invented in 1968; first collegiate championship played in 1984; added to the World Games in 2001; and in 2014, Ultimate officially became part of the Olympic family when the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee recognized USA Ultimate.
