USRowing is hosting the Under 19 and Under 23 National Team Trials starting Tuesday at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. Athletes will compete for a chance to represent the U.S. at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships or World Rowing Under 19 Championships later this summer.

Over 130 athletes from 52 different clubs are expected to compete in 21 different boat classes. Click here for the complete list of entries.

Coeur d'Alene Rowing Association's Isaiah Harrison won a silver medal in the men's single sculls at the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Varese, Italy, and is looking to return to the championships for another run at the medal stand.

Oklahoma City High Performance Center's Katelin Gildersleeve is looking to earn a place on the under 23 national team in the women's single sculls. The Stanford senior, who finished sixth in the women's quadruple sculls at last year's U23 championships, is no stranger to the single having won the bronze medal at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships. The Dallas native was named USRowing's Under 19 Female Athlete of the Year that year.

Rowing for Conshohocken Rowing Center, Nathaniel Sass won the gold medal in the lightweight men's pair at last year's World Rowing Under 23 Championships. This year, Sass is moving to the lightweight men's double sculls and partnering with Ian Holly as he looks to make his third U23 team.

Fresh off a victory in the men's youth pair at the 2023 USRowing Youth National Championships, Newport Aquatic Centers's Kian Aminian and Travis O'Neil are stepping up to race the U23 men's pair. Both were members of the men's eight at last year's World Rowing Under 19 Championships.

Representing Conshohocken Rowing Center, the lightweight men's quadruple sculls crew of Simon Dubiel, Eli Rabinowitz, Justin Schmidt, Troy Riesenberger will be looking to return to U23 worlds. The crew finished fourth in the event last year in Varese.

Connecticut Boat Club's Caroline Krantz and Annika Nelson won the gold medal in the youth pair on Sunday at youth nationals and will be looking to make the U19 team in the pair at this week's trials.

Trials racing begins Tuesday at 8 a.m. with time trials. Semifinals will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., with finals being held Wednesday starting at 8:00 a.m.

The schedule, heat sheets, and results will be available on HereNow.com.

The 2023 World Rowing Under 19 Championships will be held August 2-6 in Paris, France, while the 2023 World Rowing Under 23 Championships will be July 19-23 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
