Orlando North, Seminole County Announces Youth FastPitch Softball and Baseball Tournament Lineup

Before you know it the kids are out of school and you’re wondering where to go and what to do around Central Florida that won’t break the bank.  In Seminole County they’re singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”  Summer championship tournaments will be hotly contested in the county’s many parks and at the BOOMBAH Sports Complex in Sanford and BOOMBAH Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood.

May 25-27 – Diamond 9 Adidas Power 32 Showcase – Seminole County welcomes back Diamond 9 to BOOMBAH Soldiers Creek Park and the Seminole Softball Complex for the Annual Memorial Day softball event of the season. 30 elite level softball teams from all over the country will descend on Seminole County to compete in front of college coaches of all divisions for a chance to show their stuff to the sport’s top coaching minds. June 7-12 – 12th Annual Prospect Wire Southeast Championships- Seminole County is excited to welcome back, for the 4th consecutive year, the Prospect Wire Southeast Championship. This baseball event has become a staple in the county producing over 100 teams and 1,000 room nights with an expected economic impact over $1.2 million. Location: BOOMBAH Sports Complex. June 22-23 – USSSA Central Florida Fastpitch State Championships –USSSA Central Florida Fastpitch will be hosting their annual summer state softball championship event in Seminole County once again, bringing 80 teams from all over the state to compete for the top trophy! During this particular weekend, the event will take up virtually every softball facility in the area, most notably BOOMBAH Soldiers Creek, Seminole Softball Complex, Merrill Park, Oviedo Sports Complex, and Red Bug Lake Park. June 25-29 – Alex Wilcox Classic Presented by Legacy Event Management – The softball showcase event of the summer! Seminole County is thrilled to welcome Legacy Event Management for the first annual Alex Wilcox Classic, a college showcase event memorializing the late Mississippi State pitcher who died of ovarian cancer at the age of 18. This event will bring 84 of the most elite level youth Fastpitch teams from around the country to the BOOMBAH Sports Complex and Soldiers Creek Park, as well as attract college coaches from the most prestigious Division 1 teams looking to recruit the future stars of their programs! June 29-July 4 – Youth Baseball Nationals- We are looking forwarding to welcoming back the Athletx Youth Baseball Nationals. This event will feature many of the top baseball players from across the nation.
