National governing body USA Triathlon (USAT) has announced that the 2026 Endurance Exchange, positioned as its annual conference for ‘multisport professionals, coaches, and community members’, will take place in Orlando, Florida, at the Caribe Royale Orlando resort, on January 9-11, 2026.
Three-time Olympic gold medalist and NBC swimming commentator Rowdy Gaines will serve as the conference’s keynote speaker.
USAT notes that Endurance Exchange is for coaches, race directors, club leaders, and multisport enthusiasts to connect, learn, and grow. The 2026 event will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities, professional development, and opportunities for race directors and USA Triathlon Certified Coaches to earn CEUs (continuing education units).
Located a few minutes from Disney World, Universal Studios, and other local Orlando attractions, the 2026 Endurance Exchange will be hosted at the Caribe Royale Orlando. A Walt Disney World Good Neighbor resort, the Caribe Royale includes pools, sport courts, exclusive walking/running trails, and a two-story fitness centre.
“From brainstorming fresh ideas over coffee to forging lifelong collaborations, the relationships you build at Endurance Exchange will energize and inspire you for years to come,” said Victoria Brumfield, USA Triathlon CEO.
“We are excited for Endurance Exchange to head to beautiful, warm Orlando next January, offering endurance sports professionals a packed weekend of the best educational and networking opportunities in the endurance sports industry. We’re also thrilled to welcome Olympic legend Rowdy Gaines as our keynote speaker – his experience, insight, and passion will undoubtedly inspire and motivate our entire community.”
‘Voice of Swimming’ Rowdy Gaines to Deliver Keynote
Once known as the fastest swimmer in the world, Rowdy Gaines overcame the heartbreak of the 1980 Olympic boycott to win three Olympic gold medals at the 1984 Olympic Games.
Today, he’s widely regarded as ‘the voice of swimming’, having covered nine Olympic Games, including Paris 2024, with his 10th on the horizon for NBC at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
At Endurance Exchange in Orlando, Gaines will deliver a talk on leadership, resilience, teamwork and high performance.
“As an Olympic swimmer, I learned that success isn’t just about speed – it’s about heart, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. That’s what brings us all together, triathletes, swimmers, all of us chasing the edge.
“There is no athlete on the planet that I respect more than a triathlete. And the dedication and commitment needed for success are unparalleled.”
USAT added that Endurance Exchange features a mix of hands-on, experiential learning workshops and lecture experiences to educate athletes, coaches, race directors, and members of the multisport community.
