The Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announces the return of the Gulf Coast Salute Air Show, taking place April 10–12 at Russell-Fields City Pier in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. This free event will debut a new festival site at Aaron Bessant Park and feature an exciting lineup of performances, military displays, interactive STEM experiences, a diverse selection of vendors and nonstop entertainment for all ages.
“The Gulf Coast Salute Air Show is a meaningful tribute to the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, and in 2026, it carries even greater significance as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary,” said Jayna Leach, Senior Vice President and CMO of Visit Panama City Beach. “We’re proud to provide a place where this moment of reflection and celebration unfolds against 27 miles of white-sand beaches, creating an unforgettable summer experience for our local community and visitors.”
As one of the destination’s premier spring events, the Gulf Coast Salute Air Show drives visitation during a key travel period, supporting local businesses and reinforcing Panama City Beach’s position as a year-round destination. Attendees will have the opportunity to honor and support military personnel, past and present. The excitement will kick off early with a new Friday Night Block Party on Friday, April 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., where guests can meet the pilots, get up close to the talent behind the show and build anticipation for the weekend ahead.
Guests enjoying the festival site at Aaron Bessant Park won’t miss a moment of the action, thanks to a live video stream of the air show displayed overhead from the beach. Whether exploring interactive STEM experiences, shopping at Pier Park and local vendors or simply taking in the festive atmosphere, the park will be energized from takeoff to touchdown, offering a full day of discovery both on the ground and in the sky.
Please note that sections of South Pier Park Drive, LC Hilton Jr. Drive, West Park Drive and Front Beach Road will be closed throughout the weekend. Attendees should plan accordingly.
