Elite Water Ski Action Begins Tomorrow in Florida

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce the selection of the 2023 U.S. Elite Water Ski Team. The six-member team, selected by the American Water Ski Association’s International Activities Committee, will compete in the 38th IWWF World Waterski Championships, Oct. 7-15, at Sunset Lakes in Groveland, Fla.  

Athletes that have been selected to the 2023 U.S. Elite Water Ski Team are (alphabetical order): Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.), Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.), Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.), Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.), Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.).Lori Krueger (Martindale, Texas) will be the coach.  

The U.S. Elite Water Ski Team earned the overall team bronze medal and seven U.S. water ski athletes won individual medals in respective events at the 37th Water Ski World Championships, Oct. 11-17, 2021, in Groveland, Fla. Canada won the gold medal and Great Britain earned the silver. The United States is seeking to win its 28th world team title. 

The Ski Nautique will be the official towboat of the 38th IWWF Water Ski World Championships. Nautique is a National Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.
