The Courts, Cape Coral Celebrates Grand Opening with Brand Unveiling and Community Showcase

On February 22, the city of Cape Coral proudly celebrated the grand opening of its newly rebranded racquet sports facility, The Courts, Cape Coral. The state-of-the-art venue is set to transform the region into a premier destination for racquet sports, including tennis, pickleball, and more, attracting players and events from across the region and nationally. 

The grand opening event, sponsored by Sun Life Homes and ABC Supply Co. Inc, featured the highly anticipated unveiling of the facility’s new name and branding by the City of Cape Coral and venue management firm The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), an engaging open house, live programming activities, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Community members, industry leaders, and racquet sports fans gathered to witness the beginning of a new era for sports and recreation in Cape Coral. 

"The Courts, Cape Coral represents progress, innovation, and community spirit," said Cape Coral Mayor John Gunter about the new venue. "This facility reflects our commitment to offering exceptional recreational opportunities while driving economic growth and strengthening our identity as a vibrant destination for sports tourism." 

One of the standout features of the facility is its scale and infrastructure. The facility features 32 pickleball courts designed to host large-scale tournaments and events alongside 12 world-class tennis courts ideal for competitive leagues. With its state-of-the-art amenities and capacity to accommodate over 1,000 tournament participants, the facility is poised to become a complete destination for racquet sports enthusiasts at both the local and national levels. 

“To date, we have sold over 2,600 memberships in the venue’s pre-opening phase. The overwhelming interest demonstrates the excitement and demand for a facility of this caliber," shared Joe Petrella, Cape Coral Director of Parks and Recreation. "We are proud to provide our residents with a venue that sets a new standard for excellence in recreational offerings."
