The 2019 ITA Coaches Convention is set to get underway Friday (Dec. 6) at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Fla. The four-day event is scheduled to run through Monday, Dec. 9.

The annual coaches’ convention brings together coaches from all five collegiate divisions (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and Junior College) while featuring some of the most influential people in the sport of tennis and a diverse segment of exhibitors and ITA sponsors displaying the latest tennis products, equipment and technology.

Since 1985, the ITA Coaches Convention has served as the gathering point for the association’s annual meetings, which includes its Board of Directors and Operating Committee meetings.

The 2018-19 Wilson/ITA National Coaches of the Year and the recipient of the 2019 Meritorious Service Award presented by Conant Leadership will be honored at the Wilson Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The UTR Welcome Dinner highlights the opening day of the convention. In addition to the Wilson Awards Luncheon, the Meeting of the Association opens Saturday’s schedule of events that also includes divisional roundtables. The Tennis Recruiting Network Junior Showcase begins Sunday’s schedule, followed by a series of guest speakers and operating committee meetings. The convention concludes Monday with on-court demonstrations.

Highlighting the list of guest speakers throughout the convention are Tim Cass (USTA General Manager), Roger Crawford (Motivational Speaker/Author), Molly Fletcher (Founder and CEO of The Molly Fletcher Company/ITA Board of Directors Member), Mark Leschly (UTR CEO), Timothy Russell (ITA CEO & Board of Directors Member) and Jon Vegosen (ITA Chairman of the Board).
