Includes Hiking, Ziplining, Mountain Biking, Tubing, Archery and More

The 4th annual KEEN Vail Kids Adventure Race will offer kids, ages 6 through 14, the opportunity to experience the thrill of adventure racing through Vail, Colorado, and the surrounding wilderness. During the race, teams of two will work together to navigate a variety of sports and and problem-solving challenges, including mountain biking, hiking, tubing, archery, a low ropes course, a zip line, a climbing wall, a Tarzan swing, a giant slip-n-slide and more.

The KEEN Vail Kids Adventure Race will begin with instructions and a safety briefing by Race Director and Adventure Racer, Billy Mattison. Competitors will be divided into waves based on age and start at set intervals. Younger children will race Saturday, Aug. 10 and older participants will race on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013.

The 2nd annual KIDSPORT Strider Cup , which takes place Friday August 9th at 4pm in the Solaris Plaza in Vail Village, will offer a fun obstacle bike course for your little ones ages 3-5 years old. Anyone with a Strider bike (or other type of no-pedal bicycle) will have the chance to compete against other riders in a fun, safe environment to test their little legs.

This free Strider Cup event requires all participants to bring their own bike and helmet. Registration is limited to the first 50 participants and available on a first come, first-serve basis. Registration is available by clicking here.

Most kids competing in the KEEN Vail Kids Adventure Race come with the whole family, and we want to add activities like the Strider Cup for those younger siblings unable to compete in the full event but who still want to enjoy some fun competition.

Information on the events is available at this site.
