Going into its 7th year, the Grand Junction Off-Road is a 3-day event taking place in Grand Junction, Colorado, full of mountain biking, live music, beer, gardens, and a bike & gear expo.

The event weekend takes place on May 17-19, 2019. Starting in Downtown Grand Junction and climbing their way onto the Uncompahgre Plateau, riders will connect some of the area’s most exhilarating (and challenging) sections of singletrack, double track, gravel roads, and the occasional paved segment.

Race organiser, Epic Rides, notes that participants have their choice from three different distance options of 15, 30 or 40 miles. Each consists of a… ‘carefully curated set of geologically mesmerizing (#mindblown) set of trails.’

On the Sunday, pro racers will race the same 40 Grand course as the amateurs ride on Saturday.

As with other events from Epic Rides, the Grand Junction Off-Road has amassed an impressive sponsor roster:

During the event visit to Grand Junction, race participants can enjoy being submerged in the mountain bike industry. A release from Epic Rides adds… ‘Mingle with the most bike-minded people you’ll ever encounter while appreciating the area’s wine country and feeling welcomed by its sincere appreciation for the outdoor enthusiast.’

Epic Rides continues… ‘With an award in the form of an engraved stemless wineglass emblazoned with the distance you’ve finished, outstanding free live music, a cold beverage (gratis) from Four Peaks Brewing Company, and the comfort of its meandering main street engulfed by industry expo + beer garden waiting at the finish for all Off-Road participants…this is one finish line worth achieving. The ‘Grand’ has a 93% finish rate. Technical? Yes. But attainable, too.’

The event’s Bike & Gear Expo will cover three blocks and takes place from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th in downtown Grand Junction. Vendors include:
