Colorado-Based Trail Runs, Mountain Bike Races and Festivals Coming this Summer

Dates have been announced for three major Colorado events: the Vail Outlier festival, the Breck Epic offroad stage race and the Eagle Outside Festival.

The Eagle festival will be June 4-6. The event includes racing, consumer demos, trail running, craft beers and live music in Eagle, Colorado, a town at the western end of the Vail Valley on I-70. Demo space is free for exhibitors who also register for the Vail Outlier. Demo attendees also receive discounted hotel rates, a cold locally-brewed 6-pack upon arrival and a gift card valid for up to $200 in meals (or booze) from local restaurants.

Registration is open now at EagleOutsideFestival.com.

The Breck Epic MTB Stage Race - powered by SRAM claims to be the oldest mountain bike state race in the U.S. The 6-day race uses a  cloverleaf format so that each stage begins and ends within a mile of downtown Breckenridge, Colorado. The 2016 event is August 14-19. In addition to the full 6-day race, participants can also choose a 3-day race on stages 1-3 or 4-6.

Registration fees are $449 to $799. Registration is open now at BreckEpic.com.

The 2016 Vail Outlier Offroad Festival is Sept. 9-11. The second annual event includes a consumer demo with two lifts, Enduro and XC racing and a media and VIP-only day. The event is the same weekend as Vail's Oktoberfest and the Vail Farmer's Market. Organizers said they will add a "delightfully trashy music and nightlife component for 2016."

Fees are $300-800. Outlier demo brands receive race entries, lift tickets and VIP passes. Registrants also receive complimentary entry to the June Eagle festival. Attending media receive complimentary lift passes, VIP access to participating brands, complimentary event entries and tickets to Mini Kiss.

Registration is open now at Outlier.bike.
