The inaugural City for Champions Cup between Colorado College Tigers and Air Force Falcons Division I women’s soccer teams is less than one week away!
Set to take place on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Weidner Field, this historic match aims to showcase the talent of these young women in the hopes of inspiring other young women and girls to learn and grow the sport of soccer.
Weidner Field, the host site, is home to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC of the USL. With an 8,000-person capacity and conveniently located in downtown Colorado Springs, Weidner Field is the perfect location for two excellent NCAA Division I women’s soccer programs.
Participation in women’s soccer is reaching new heights and the Colorado College Tigers and Air Force Falcons are two local teams championing that movement. With both teams nearing the end of their seasons, the match up between these two conference rivals is sure to be high-energy and high stakes.
