Colorado Springs has a strong cycling community that includes all types of riders, from casual enthusiasts to Olympians & Paralympians. This community is part of what make the citizens of Colorado Springs are among some of the most active in the world.

 

With hundreds of miles of cycling trails, Colorado Springs can offer some of the most unique events in the world, such as 719 Ride (July 16), The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit (August 13), and The Pikes Peak APEX, presented by RockShox (September 22-25).

Built on a 14-mile loop course with 1,838' of elevation gain per lap, the 719 Ride is an event that can be tailored to any fitness level or personal challenge. The signature distance of 71.9 miles come with 9,190' of elevation gain, but you can ride one lap, three laps, seven laps or more. Ride as many laps as your mind can handle and your legs allow. There are 14 distance options to choose from. The fun only stops when you stop.

  • Packet Pick-Up: Tuesday, July 12-Thursday, July 14 at your choice of Route Outfitters (3131 West Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 or 252 Front St, B, Monument, CO 80132) OR beginning at 5:45am in the start area on the morning of the event (Saturday, July 16)

 

*Please note, packets for registrations received AFTER Monday, July 10 will only be available the morning of the event.

Gran Fondo and E-Bike Registration Information

 

Sanctioned by USA Cycling, this competitive and Gran Fondo hill climb consists of multiple medal categories giving cyclists of all skill levels the opportunity to take on Pikes Peak - America's Mountain, including E-Bikes! Important dates and details below.

 

  • Online Registration Deadline: Monday, August 8
  • Junior: $50
  • Adult: $70

 

  • Packet Pick-Up presented by The Axe and the Oak Registration: Thursday, August 11 & Friday, August 12 from 6:00-8:00pm at The Axe and the Oak (1604 S Cascade Ave Ste #80, Colorado Springs, CO 80905)
  • Junior: $60
  • Adult: $80

 

*Please note, there is NO day-of registration, all participants must pre-register.

 

  • Event Date: Saturday, August 13
  • 4:45am: Gateway opens to cyclists
  • 6:13am: first wave of cyclists begins
  • 9:00am: Pikes Peak - America's Mountain opens at Crystal Reservoir
  • 9:30am (approx.): Awards Ceremony begins at Festival Area

Summit Society is an exclusive club for summiteers united by the challenge and adventure of cycling up Pikes Peak. Riders that complete Cycle to the Summit who reach the summit of Pikes Peak before the conclusion of the race will become a member of the Summit Society and receive special discounts from community partners! Gran Fondo National Series

We are excited to announce that we have partnered up with the Gran Fondo National Series! Riders that compete in Cycle to the Summit now qualify for the 2023 USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championships. How awesome is that?!

The Pikes Peak APEX, presented by RockShox, is a unique 4-day mountain bike challenge on the slopes of Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain.

 

Choose to race one day, two days, or all four days! The event features exhilarating, exceptionally crafted routes through dirt roads, jeep trails, and the amazing alpine single-track that is quintessential Pikes Peak. The terrain will be challenging, but not overly technical. This Rocky Mountain trail experience through the aspens in Colorado’s backcountry will draw not only professional riders, but also amateur cyclists looking for a bucket list endurance experience. Important dates and details below.
