The stakes for the 2026 USA Water Polo National League just got a whole lot higher! For the first time in league history, a $25,000 prize pool will be awarded and allocated among the top three open division teams at the National League championship with the purse brought to the league by the Holos Law Group, LLP. The addition of prize money ramps up the excitement ahead of a newly expanded National League, with action starting February 6 in Southern California.

"Top level competition that comes with prize money helps build excitement not just among the athletes but also the fans," said Jon Wieman, Holos Law Group managing partner. "Our fans deserve to see top athletes compete in a highly-competitive league here at home and our age group athletes deserve to see high level water polo played by people they can aspire to become. With this sponsorship, the goal is to help grow the sport in this country and grow this league. I'm confident that the National League can rival those in other countries."

"USA Water Polo is grateful to Holos Law Group, LLP for this very generous sponsorship" said Jamie Davis, USAWP CEO.  "This prize money will certainly raise the caliber of play in the National League and will provide a platform drawing players and spectators from across the country and around the world.  Holos is also supplying additional funding to elevate the league's excitement and fan experience.  I cannot thank Holos enough for their support and vision."

The prize money is limited to the traditional open division National League and will be awarded to the top three finishers at the National League Championship set for May 1-3 in Southern California following the culmination of the regular season.

Teams competing this season will be divided into three conferences. In Southern California, the Blue Conference will consist of Channel Islands United, LBU, Mission, New York Athletic Club, Riptide, Riverside, and USA B while the Red Conference will include Anteater, Fight On, Los Angeles Athletic Club, LMU, South County, Sunset, and USA Youth.
