The United States Tennis Association Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships will feature the nation’s top junior tennis talent from Saturday, August 2 through Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Barnes Tennis Center, 4490 W. Point Loma Blvd., San Diego, CA, 92107.

The Girls’ 16s event will begin on Saturday, August 2 and conclude with the singles and doubles championships on Saturday, August 9. The Girls’ 18s tournament will get underway Sunday, August 3 and conclude with the singles and doubles championships on Sunday, August 10. Both divisions feature 192-player singles draws and 96-team doubles draws.

Nearly 400 of the top junior tennis players in the country, aged 16 and 18 and under, will compete for the title of National Champion. In addition, wild cards for direct entry into the US Open will be awarded to the tournament’s top finishers.

As the Wimbledon main draw begins today, the impact of the USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ National Championships is once again on full display.

Nearly all of the 19 American women in the Wimbledon singles main draw have either participated or won titles at the USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships, according to Tournament Director Lornie Kuhle.

"This year, all eight seeded Americans in the Wimbledon women’s singles main draw are former champions or participants of this prestigious tournament, including 2nd seeded Coco Gauff, 3rd seeded Jessica Pegula, 6th seeded Madison Keys, 10th seeded Emma Navarro, 13th seeded Anna Anisimova, 28th seeded Sofia Kenin, 31st seeded Ashlyn Krueger, and 32nd seeded McCartney Kessler. Last year’s Girls’ 18s singles champion Iva Jovic also qualified for the Wimbledon main draw,” Kuhle said.

For decades, the USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ National Championships have served as the launching pad for America’s top tennis talent, including legendary champions Chris Evert, Tracy Austin and Lindsay Davenport. The tournament’s motto “Where Champions are Made” is proving that the event truly sets the stage for tomorrow’s American champions.
