Kidcam Camps, one of the largest, private, summer camp organizations in the southeast for almost 50 years, has partnered with OWA Parks & Resort to bring summer day camp to the heart of Downtown OWA.

Kidcam Camp at OWA will be based in Downtown OWA for 10 weeks this summer. Campers ages 5-13 will utilize the 22+ amusement park rides, swim in the indoor water park, enjoy specialty programs with other Downtown OWA vendors and partners, and stay fully engaged in daily activities and programs through Kidcam’s unique curriculum of STEM, sports, arts, movement, swimming, life skills, and long-standing traditions that create memorable moments and lasting relationships.

The opportunity to move Kidcam Camp to OWA, after 7 years at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, provides the families of Baldwin County the same name and day camp experience they have come to know and trust in a new and exciting location that offers more indoor spaces, as well as advanced programming, partnerships and curriculum at Alabama’s newest, major destination.

“We are building on our success of the last seven years in Baldwin County and looking forward to developing this unique and promising day camp partnership with OWA,” says president of Kidcam Camps, Melissa Conner. “Kidcam has a successful track record and experience with day camp operations at 30 parks and premier destinations across the southeast. Bringing Kidcam Camps to OWA gives the children of Baldwin County a place to safely enjoy their summer days surrounded by water and adventure while making new friends and experiencing fresh and exciting programs all within this beautiful resort. Kidcam also has a solid reputation of giving parents peace of mind that their children are part of a program with such tradition, accreditation, and purpose.”

Kidcam will bring their almost 50 years of experience and combine it with guidelines and protocols from health professionals at Ochsner Health and the CDC, designed to keep campers and staff safe in the age of Covid.

Registration is open for camps that will take place May 31-August 5, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Camps operate in weekly sessions, and Before and Aftercare are available for a nominal fee.
