The Mobile Sports Authority has listed a calendar of events brimming with competition.

Major League Football - Ohio Force vs. Alabama Airborne

Ladd-Peebles Stadium

August 9

Mobile's own Major League Football team, Alabama Airborne, will host their inaugural game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on August 9th. Don't miss the first game for the Alabama Airborne as they take on the Ohio Force. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05 PM.

Major League Football (MLFB) launches its first season in August with four teams, Ohio Force, Virginia Armada, Arkansas Attack, and Alabama Airborne. Each team will play a four game schedule in August allowing them to build towards a full season of Major League Football in the Spring of 2023. More info here.

Major League Football - Arkansas Attack vs. Alabama Airborne

Ladd-Peebles Stadium

August 16

Mobile's own Major League Football team, Alabama Airborne, will host the Arkansas Attack at Ladd-Peebles Stadium on August 16th.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05 PM.

Mobile Cycling Classic

South Mobile County Commerce Park

August 20 – 21

It will be pedals to the metal in South Mobile for both days of the Mobile Cycling Classic. 

Sanctioned by USA Cycling, the Mobile Cycling Classic is an intense, fast-paced, criterium, commonly known as a crit. The course will challenge riders as they make numerous laps in a relatively short timeframe. The series of races, which last between 20 and 60 minutes, will be divided by various skill categories for men and women.

The Mobile Cycling Classic will also be hosting the AL State Championship on Saturday, August 20.  New for 2022, a Fat Tire Crit on the same day where FUN will be the name of the game!

Cyclists throughout the region will be in town competing for cash prizes. More info here.

Mobile Challenge of Champions Cross Country Meet

Langan Municipal Park

September 1 - 3

Ranked among the Top 25 in high school events, the Mobile Challenge of Champions Cross Country Meet will attract up to 1,200 athletes, coaches, and supporters from all over the country for the three-day event. The 30th annual meet will be held at Langan Municipal Park. More info here.

Rank Up Labor Day Weekend Youth Football Classic Live

Herndon Sage Park

September 2 - 4

More than 40 youth football teams from across the region will descend upon Herndon Sage Park on Labor Day weekend for the Rank Up Labor Day Weekend Youth Football Classic Live Powered by Palmer Williams Group. Players aged 5-14 will compete in their respective categories for a spot in the national tournament.
