International Racing Begins in Calgary, Moves to Utah

The 2013-2014 international competitive season kicks off today with the start of the North American Cup series in Calgary, Alberta. The U.S. will field a full roster of eight skeleton athletes and eight bobsled teams in a series of races on the 1988 Olympic track.  

From November 18-24, there’s the Park City North American Cup in Park City, Utah. On November 24, the Calgary World Cup takes place in Calgary, Canada, and on Nov. 25, it’s the Park City North American Cup II in Park City, Utah.

Several national team athletes wrap up international training week on the 2014 Olympic track in Sochi, Russia next Tuesday before flying to Calgary for the start of the World Cup tour.  Official training for the World Cup begins on Nov. 26.
