Lincoln Electric extends partnership with USA Bobsled/Skeleton

USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) is proud to announce that Lincoln Electric has extended its agreement as an Official Supplier for the team through June 2026.

"Our sleds are going through forces similar to fighter jet pilots, so we need to make sure that these sleds hold up so our athletes can get to the bottom safely,” said USA Bobsled Driving Coach and 2002 Olympic Bronze Medalist Brian Shimer. “Lincoln Electric has provided the equipment and the expertise that we need as a nation to go out there and compete at the highest level."

Technology and Equipment Lead Marc Van Den Berg primarily uses Lincoln Electric welders to build the chassis of the bobsled in the team garage in Lake Placid. Lincoln Electric also provided a portable welder that the team can take on the road with them when competing internationally, and the equipment has been vital to making necessary repairs mid-season. As a result, the team never has to miss a training run or competition because they always have equipment ready to go.
