4 May, 2020
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce that GOODE Skis will continue as a National Sponsor of the national governing body of organized water skiing and wakeboarding. In addition to its designation as National Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports for 2020 and 2021, GOODE Skis has agreed to be the title sponsor of the U.S. Water Ski National Championships for the next 10 years (2020-2029).
“The GOODE brand is synonymous with the Water Ski National Championships and we’re excited to continue our relationship over the next decade,” said Nate Boudreaux, executive director of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports. “Dave Goode started his company with a passion for water skiing and we want to see that continue through our partnership.”
The 78th GOODE Water Ski National Championships is scheduled for Aug. 4-8 at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla. More than 600 of the nation's top water ski athletes from across the United States are expected to compete for national titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall in respective divisions at the world’s largest three-event water ski tournament. GOODE Skis has been the title sponsor of the Nationals since 2000.
"GOODE has been the proud title sponsor of Nationals for two decades and Dave would be happy to see us continue that tradition," said Dawn Goode. "Nationals was one of his favorite events because he got to see so many of our friends and customers on the water, atop the podium and in the booth. Particularly with everything going on this year, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone in August."
Founded in 1975, GOODE Skis entered the water ski market in 1994 by introducing the world’s first pure carbon-fiber water ski, forever changing the sport and its record books. With its focus on high-end competitive water skiers, GOODE skis have been ridden to numerous world championships, more Big Dawg titles than all other manufacturers combined and countless personal bests. GOODE has held either a men’s or women’s slalom world record continuously since 1996. For more information, visit www.goode.com.
