Get Your BID On: NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships

The NAIA is looking for a host for its 2027 and 2028 Indoor Track & Field National Championships, and they’re inviting interested destinations to get their BID on. 
 

The event hosts 100 men’s and 100 women’s teams for a total of 1,200 participants and 3,000 fans.
 

The Thursday to Saturday dates for the events are as follows:

  • March 4-6, 2027
  • March 2-4, 2028

Venue specifications, as noted by NAIA:

  • 300-meter flat track, 8 lanes with appropriate surfacing; or 200-meter, 6 or 8 lane straight away and 6 lane turns with appropriate surfacing.
  • Separate horizontal jumps and runway, pole vault runway, high jump area with same surface as track.
  • Throwing area must have protective cage and barriers.
  • P.A. system, award staging area and games committee staging area.
  • Finish Lynx Timing System and electronic scoreboard.
  • Seating outside the track area to accommodate at least 3,000 fans and athletes.
  • Separate warm-up and training area, if possible. 


Hotel requirements:

NAIA would like centralized properties that can accommodate not just athletes, personnel and fans but several meetings and a banquet. The average length of stay is four nights and the event will consume 600 to 650 rooms on peak nights.
 

Nightly room rates should be $99-$135,regardless room occupancy; all guests will be responsible for making reservations directly with the hotel.
 

Bid fee is $10,000 minimum.
