The United Soccer League announced the launch of a partnership with Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand Kicks to the Pitch to create a new Spanish-language content series – Para Nosotros, Por Nosotros – that will air throughout the 2021 USL Championship season.

The short-form video series will highlight LatinX culture both on and off the field in select cities across the Championship while shining a new light on community culture including street soccer, music, food, architecture, and fashion.

“We're big supporters of Kicks to the Pitch and have been interested in working with them for a long time,” said USL Senior Vice President of Community Ryan Madden. “So when we decided to launch a Spanish language content series it just made sense to see what we could create together. It’s exciting and we can’t wait to see it come to life.”

“When USL reached out to us we were excited,” said Kicks to the Pitch Vice President Giovanni Flores. “We feel that USL is intricate in growing the beautiful game in America. Telling stories from a perspective that are authentic is extremely important. We have a very diverse team at kicks to the pitch. Which is something that soccer does. It brings people together.”

The series will be fronted by a trio of hosts, with Denise Jones, Mando Fresko and Christian Ferretti set to guide the stories and conversation. Kicks to the Pitch’s resident unboxing host, Jones brings a background in sports and entertainment that has seen her work at Los Angeles’ largest Hip Hop station, Power 106, and as the sideline reporter for Lakers Nation.

An award-winning DJ and former host on MTV’s Tr3s and MTV2, Fresko is a native of Los Angeles who now runs his own production company, Hubwav Media, which has collaborated with Nike, Facebook, The Grammys, Pepsi and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Awarded the Key to the City of Los Angeles in 2019, Fresko began DJing when he was 14 and has remained ingrained in LatinX culture and all that surrounds it throughout his career.

A Guess Senior Menswear Designer, Ferretti hails originally from Ecuador and brings a passion for soccer and for culture off the pitch. From his jersey collection to his love for sneakers, art, fashion, and music, Ferretti embodies the LatinX culture and has brought his passions to the fore in numerous photography and directing projects.

Each episode of the series will focus on a different aspect of LatinX culture, visiting cities and telling the stories of Championship clubs, communities and players while highlighting unique aspects of local culture and its connection to the game.
