GULF SHORES AND ORANGE BEACH, ALA. – One-hundred twenty of the most talented college soccer players will be making their way to Orange Beach this December to showcase their skills in the first ever Tourbeau College Soccer Showcase.

From December 5 through 9, athletes will participate in a training camp that will demonstrate their skills through drills, practices, games and classroom time with coaches from around the nation. The athletes will be selected from an application process that is open only to NAIA athletes classified as juniors or seniors along with 10 “wildcard” positions open for non-NAIA athletes. All events will be performed in front of top professional clubs and scouts including the MLS, USL, USSF?D2, NASL, J?League, A?League and other international organizations.

The showcase comes at an optimal time, occurring only one week after the NAIA National Men’s Soccer Championship, of which the Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Sports Commission is also the host.

The event will also feature several high profile guests including current US Men’s National Team and Columbus Crew MF Robbie Rogers, former NY Red Bull and Tampa Bay Rowdie, Gordon Kljestan (who is currently with the LA Galaxy Academy Coaching Staff). Also present throughout the week will be current USL?PRO Dayton Dutch Lion FW Kolby Lacrone.

In an effort to further increase the exclusivity of the event, the advisory committee has selected seven coaches to lead the player pool including Chris Kranjc (Hastings), Melvin Belong (Bethel TN), Kom Momeni (Southern Poly), Alan Koch (Simon Fraser), Matt Hotchkin (Grace IN), Tom Melville (SCAD) and Andrew Belleman (Mt Vernon Nazarene).
