FISU is proud to announce its first eSports challenge, with a FIFA 20 competition. After the successful online University World Cup Football Team Challenge, it’s now time to take virtual football to the next level – with the 2020 FISU eSports Challenge Football.

Knowing that there is a growing demand among young people from all over the world, this challenge will help us test eSports in the university sports environment.

It's the most popular game in the world, there is no participation fee and it's open to all! However, spots are limited and university students who want to participate must do so through their National University Sports Federation (NUSF). Click here for contact information of all the NUSFs.

So how does it work?

The challenge takes place from 6-16 July, with 11 action-packed competition days. The playing field will be made up of 32 male and 32 female players, who will battle it out in two separate tournaments for men and women. Each of FISU’s continental member associations (CUSFs) have a set number of slots available for the tournament. For more information on registration and dates, visit here. If you have any questions about the registration process, you can always write to: worldcups@fisu.net

A special mention for our colleagues at Confederação Brasileira do Desporto Universitário (CBDU) who've been integral in getting this long awaited moment off the ground.
