New Hispanic Outreach Nationwide Running Series Will Host Events in Los Angeles, Raleigh, Dallas, Chicago and Miami in 2014

Mexico City-based race organizers Sport Circuits believe the U.S. Hispanic community should be up and running.  That is the motivation behind the new family run/walk series, Hola Run™, which will kick off on Saturday, May 3 at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose.  Adrian Soria Bejar, founder of Sport Circuits, announced that the new nationwide series will host events in Los Angeles, Raleigh, Dallas, Chicago and Miami in 2014.

“This series was created to engage and activate Hispanic communities around the country.  We believe it can inspire families to live healthier and prevent child obesity through a fun community event,” Bejar said.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Univision Cinco de Mayo Music Festival at the fairgrounds and the first 500 runners to sign up will even receive a free entrance pass to Sunday May 4 concert by presenting their bib.  Univision and Chavez Super Markets are just two of the proud sponsors of the inaugural event and excellent representative of the Hispanic communities early support behind the event.

The Hola Run event weekend will feature a pre-event expo, a 5K run/walk and a post-race festival with music and fun for the whole family.  San Francisco Bay Area based event producers Soul Focus Sports were selected to produce the event in conjunction with Sport Circuits.

Race Director J.T. Service shared his enthusiasm for the event series:  “I loved the idea of the event right from the start.  We have always tried to engage the numerous local cultures of San Jose and especially the Hispanic community with our Mariachi Mile and bilingual fliers.  Now Sport Circuit has run with that idea to maintain a fully Spanish website and a complete cultural push towards our amazing Latino community. This will be fun for everyone.”

All runners will receive a technical Hola Run shirt, a finisher’s medal and a colorful music filled experience on the course.  All members of the community are welcome to participate in this celebration of Hispanic culture.  For more information or to register for the event visit www.holarun.com
