Marathon Study and Statistics

In this, the largest marathon study of recreational runners ever conducted, researchers compiled a total of 3.5 million marathon records from around the world. The information researched included 196 marathons from the years 2014-2017, from marathons spanning over 39 countries and seven continents. Insights into marathon enrollment, participation and gender parity were revealed.
