Discounted ticket for unemployed to the Kids' Fitness Festival

Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., has partnered with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission to provide a discounted ticket package to the Kids' Fitness Festival on July 16th and 17th, 2009 to families affected by the current economic situation. At 10.2%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Palm Beach County's unemployment rate is the highest it has been this decade. The Sports Commission has recognized this staggering statistic and thanks to the support and funding from Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., is able to offer a special $5 ticket price for any child of an unemployed parent. This offer shall be limited to the first 500 qualified children per day. Proof of unemployment must be provided in the form of an unemployment check stub.

The regular price for admission to the festival is $17 per child the day of the event, adult admission is free. In addition, Professional Concessions Incorporated, the official concessionaire of the South Florida Fairgrounds is also offering free chips and a soda with the purchase of any sandwich as part of this special package.

Presented by Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida, the Kids' Fitness Festival offers something for every child under the age of 13. Elementary and middle school children can learn the basics of over 40 sports from the area's leading instructors. Sports offered are both traditional, such as football, baseball, and basketball and non-traditional, not commonly found in the school system, such as archery, badminton, fencing, and netball. They can also enjoy the midway, play games and interact with professional athletes and mascots.

The Festival will be held at the Americraft Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds on Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Kids' Fitness Festival of the Palm Beaches is presented by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.
