Ft. Myers Announced as Host of 2013 USA Masters Badminton Nationals

USA Badminton (USAB), the national governing body for the sport of badminton in the U.S., has announced the location of the 2013 USA Masters Badminton National Championships, to be held May 21-25.

The hosting city is Ft. Myers, Florida, and the venue will be Estero Community Park Recreation Center, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL  33928.

Playing host to the event will be the will be the Southwest Florida Badminton Club (http://www.swflbadminton.com).

Host hotel for the event is the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton in Estero, Florida, 10611 Chevrolet Way, Estero, FL 33928. (Reservations for athletes, officials, press and spectators can be made by calling 239-541-1800 and asking for the badminton group rate of $79 per night single, $89 per night double.

There will be a tournament dinner at the venue on Saturday evening, May 25, 2013. Information on this is expected to be available shortly.

USAB’s 2013 Junior Nationals tournament will be held in San Francisco, California from June 29-July 7. . The host organization is the Bintang Badminton Academy.
