VTB extends its partnership with the FIG for 2020

VTB has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) for 2020. The agreement between the FIG and the Russian bank has been signed alongside of the meeting of the FIG Executive Committee held in Dakar, Senegal, this week.

As in previous years, this agreement foresees financial support for the Gymnastics disciplines and the development funds of all five continental unions.

The bank will also continue to support the awarding of the “VTB prize for accuracy” that was given for the first time at the 2019 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships.

This year, the USD 5,000 prize will be awarded to the gymnasts performing the most accurate exercise, both in women’s and men’s individual competitions at the Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 14-16 May. 

FIG President Morinari Watanabe commented: “VTB has been an official partner of Gymnastics since 2009 and I am delighted that we can rely on their valuable financial support for the development of our sports year after year.”

About the FIG: The International Gymnastics Federation is the governing body for Gymnastics worldwide. It is the oldest established international federation of an Olympic sport and has participated in the Olympic Games since their revival in 1896. The FIG governs eight sports: Gymnastics for All, Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline - including Double Mini-trampoline and Tumbling -, Aerobics, Acrobatics, and Parkour. It counts 148 national member federations and has its headquarters in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne (SUI).
