The Association of Collegiate Anglers announces a renewed partnership for the 19th year in a row with Berkley for the 2025 season of the Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. Berkley has also long been the presenting sponsor of the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley, and this will continue with its support of the 2025 event set to take place on Kentucky Lake later this year in September.
“We are proud to continue our support for the amazing athletes that participate in the ACA Collegiate Bass Fishing Series,” stated Marc Kempter, VP of Marketing Communications for Berkley. “The science-based development of Berkley lures and baits gives these athletes the best chance at success on the water.”
The Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley has long been one of the most anticipated events of the season out on the Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. The 2024 event once again boasted a record-breaking field. Over 600 anglers traveled to Henry County and Paris, TN to compete for more than $40,000 in prizes and contingencies, as well as double points to count towards the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.
The 2025 installment of this event will take place September 20-21 at Kentucky Lake.
In 2019, the ACA, in partnership with Berkley, put in place a rule where anglers competing in the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley are permitted to use only Berkley baits on day two of competition. Year in and year out, anglers find great success on Day 2 of tournament competition using only Berkley baits. This past fall, each of the Top 4 overall biggest bass of the event were caught during Day 2 of competition.
“The Bass Pro Shops Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley continues to be an extremely popular event amongst the college anglers,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the Association of Collegiate Anglers and CarecoTV President. “Berkley’s support throughout the past 19 years, including at the Big Bass Bash, has been amazing. It’s awesome to see the growth of this sport, and the role that Berkley, as well as that particular event, have played in providing anglers with the opportunity to compete.”
