The Great American Rivalry Series has launched the "Fan Favorite Contest" as part of the 65th annual Big 33 Football Classic.
In its third year, the “Fan Favorite Contest,” presented by the United States Marines, allows fans to vote for their favorite player selected to the Big 33 Football Classic representing Team Pennsylvania and Team Maryland. The Great American Rivalry Series® recognizes the Big 33 Football Classic as one of the great High School Football rivalries in the Country.
“The United States Marine Corps has a long-standing association with the Great American Rivalry Series and the Big 33 Football Classic. We are excited to reenforce these successful partnerships through sponsorship of the Fan Favorite Contest,” said Capt Terrence Zaleski, 4th Marine Corps District Marketing and Communications Officer. “The elite status of the Big 33 Football Classic and the Great American Rivalry Series fits perfectly with the Fighting Spirit of the Marine Corps and these outstanding athletes selected to play in the game.”
Voting for the Big 33 Fan Favorite is now open and end on May 26th at midnight. Fans can vote for the player of their choice at www.greatamericanrivalry.com/big-33-2022.
The player voted from each state as the “Fan Favorite” will be recognized at the game and their school will be awarded a donation on behalf of the Great American Rivalry Series. The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association’s (PSFCA) Big 33 game will be played on Monday, May 30 at Bishop McDevitt’s Rocco Ortenzio Stadium in Harrisburg, Dauphin County. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at HERE.
