Aug 24, 2018

The Great American Rivalry Series is teaming with Overtime and Facebook for the 2018 season to present live game broadcasts of some of the best high school football across the country exclusively on Facebook Watch.

Developed by BRAINBOX Intelligent Marketing, The Great American Rivalry has celebrated the best rivalries in high school football for 15 years and featured more than 750 games in 44 states during that time. The 2018 Series will broadcast these games with industry leading partners Overtime and Facebook using all the latest capabilities of this ground-breaking partnership. Fans can expect a unique, interactive viewing experience that fully utilizes the social connectivity offered by Facebook Watch and the reach of Overtime’s Networks.

Great American Rivalry Series founder Rick Ford notes, “In our seventh year of live digital broadcasting, we are extremely pleased to be expanding the Series’ reach in a partnership with the two clear leaders in this space, Overtime and Facebook. We see reducing the separation between the viewer and the game as how live sports will be consumed in the future.”

Aug 24  Bluefield vs Graham (Battle of the Bluefields) Bluefield, WV

Sep 21  St. Thomas Aquinas vs Miami Central  Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Oct 26  Chandler vs Hamilton (Battle for Arizona Avenue) Chandler, AZ

Nov 2  Pahokee vs Glades Central (Muck Bowl)  Pahokee, FL

Each broadcast will be highly interactive. Fans will have the ability to comment and interact directly with the crew during the broadcast. This interactivity will become part of the broadcast itself, allowing fans to consume and interact with live sports as they happen.
