Want something to look forward to, long after all this uncertainty has passed? Here it is. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has opened the bid process to host the 2021 and 2022 NAIA Football National Championship.

The football national championship game features the NAIA National Championship game against the two teams that have made it through the playoffs to the final game. Both teams consist of 75-90 student-athletes, staff and administrators in the travel party and arrive early in the week for a full week of events in the host community.

Beyond the economic impact to the community, the NAIA gives its hosts significant opportunities to realize a return on the investment. The NAIA model transfers all revenue rights (ticket sales, sponsorship, rebates, etc.) to the winning bidder.

Below are some of the key benefits in hosting the NAIA Football Championship

  • Hotel room block: 200.
  • Average length of stay: Four nights.
  • Total participants: 150-180.
  • Total fans: Between 3,000 and 8,000

The deadline for bids to become a host for the 2021 and 2022 NAIA Football National Championship is June 1, 2020.
