Seeking Little League Players to Participate in Baseball Parade

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum needs Little Leaguers to be a part of a Memorial Day celebration. The Hall of Fame is looking for area Little League teams to march in the Cooperstown Game Day Parade on Saturday, May 25 and offering any regional Little Leaguer who participates in the parade a free ticket to attend the Hall of Fame Classic, immediately after the parade, in Cooperstown, N.Y.

The Hall of Fame is hosting a salute to American heroes leading into Memorial Day, as Cooperstown honors the military and baseball's youth as part of a legends lineup featuring Hall of Famers--Rollie Fingers, Goose Gossage, Rickey Henderson, Phil Niekro--and more than 20 former major league players in an exhibition game at the home of baseball, complete with a Game Day Parade and Pre-Game hitting contest. Festivities begin at noon.

The Hall of Fame Classic will feature performances by the 10th Mountain Division Band and Color Guard from Fort Drum, as the Hall of Fame salutes the military's relationship to our National Pastime. For more information on the Game Day Parade and Hall of Fame Class, visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame website.

Interested Little League teams must appear in uniform and march in the parade which begins at noon. Each player will be provided with a free ticket to the Classic, along with up to three coaches/manager from each team. Family and friends of the team may purchase tickets at the same time and sit in the same area. Those who are accompanying the Little League team can avoid the normal service charge of $3.00 per ticket through this special offer.

For your team to participate, please contact Hall of Fame Group Sales Coordinator June Dolhun at 607-547-0250 or visit www.baseballhall.org.
