Easton-Bell Sports, Inc. Named Manufacturer Sponsor of 2013 US Lacrosse Northeast and West Championships

US Lacrosse today announced Easton-Bell Sports, Inc., as a manufacturer sponsor of the 2013 US Lacrosse Northeast and West Championships, powered by Lacrosse Unlimited.

The sponsorship provides Easton, a designer and developer of sports equipment and accessories, on-site activation opportunities for its lacrosse line and space in the vendor village at the youth lacrosse tournaments administered by the sport’s national governing body in Amherst, Mass., June 21-23 and in San Jose, Calif., June 28-30.

“We’d like to thank Easton for sponsoring the US Lacrosse Northeast and West Championships,” said Rob Scherr, sponsorship manager at US Lacrosse. “US Lacrosse has hosted youth events for 16 years, allowing players to compete with class, honor the game and develop relationships with teammates and opponents alike. Welcoming Easton to our Northeast and West Championships will enhance the experience of our youth members and their families at those events.”

“We appreciate the opportunity to work with US Lacrosse to create memorable experiences for athletes, families and coaches at the Northeast and West Championships,” said Doug Appleton, general manager at Easton. “We’re one of the leading innovators of lacrosse equipment, and US Lacrosse has been very innovative in its initiatives to grow the game. This sponsorship was a natural alignment.”

Easton, founded in 1922 as a developer of archery equipment, has become a leading equipment manufacturer, producing gear for lacrosse, baseball and hockey, among other sports.

The US Lacrosse Northeast Championships return to the University of Massachusetts for the sixth time since 2001, while the US Lacrosse West Championships move to California for the first time following two years in Arizona. In the U15 division, the top four teams at each regional will earn automatic invitations to the fifth annual US Lacrosse U15 National Championship, powered by Lacrosse Unlimited, July 23-25 (girls) and July 26-28 (boys) at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
