Jan 13, 2014
New Conference Intended to Address Challenges of Sports Events

TSE Consulting, the international management consulting firm specialized in sport, has today announced the launch of a new annual conference dedicated to national sports leaders - 'The Academy'. The first edition will take place June 5-6, 2014, in the Olympic Capital - Lausanne Switzerland.

'The Academy' is the first conference of its kind, bringing sports leaders from around the world and across different sports together in the home of international sport in Lausanne. The two-day conference will take place at the newly renovated Olympic Museum.

Limited to 200 national sports leaders, 'The Academy' programme will feature international experts who will share real world learnings and practical tips focused on providing answers to the following questions:

  • Financing; how can we increase revenues in a competitive environment?

  • Promotion; how can we engage audiences that are faced with information overload

  • Development; how can we drive both participation and high-performance in an organisation with limited resources?

  • Leadership; how do I inspire and drive innovation in a sports world that is based on tradition?

The conference is open to all national sport leaders, including Presidents, Secretary Generals and Executive Directors. Registration and program details will be available in early 2014, but more information about the conference can be found here.

Caroline Anderson, Director of TSE Consulting's sports management services, said: "We have heard very often from our national sports clients that they would like to learn from other sports and other countries. We are pleased to now offer them a platform where they can  come to find new inspiration and ideas. Lausanne, as the Olympic Capital, has for many years successfully supported the development of international sport so we believe it is the perfect venue to also support the development of national sport leaders."
