The live coverage of state football playoffs on Facebook begins this Friday, November 24, with three games involving teams from Georgia and California, and two Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Class 4A semifinal games on Saturday, November 25.

The two Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state quarterfinal games will be streamed live this Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST, and one semifinal game in the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)-San Diego Section will kick off at 7 p.m. PST/10 p.m. EST.

Ten additional state playoff games will be available on Facebook during the following two weekends, including two GHSA semifinal games, two semifinals from the Virginia High School League (VHSL) playoffs, the 4A Oklahoma state championship game, and the CIF-San Diego Section championship on December 1-2.

The NFHS Network-Facebook football coverage concludes on December 9-10 with two championship games from the VHSL and two championships from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC).

“We are excited to showcase these state high school football playoff games on Facebook,” said Mark Koski, CEO of the NFHS Network. “Our goal is to have as many people as possible watch high school sports, and Facebook provides an unbelievable opportunity for the NFHS Network. The growth of live streaming has reached a tipping point, and making these games available to people on Facebook will further accelerate that trend.”

More than 35,000 events involving 27 sports and activities were covered on the NFHS Network during the 2016-17 school year, making it the largest destination for high school sports coverage in the United States.
