First NWSL Game of Season Shows Viewership Increase

The first NWSL game on new network partner Lifetime -- Portland-Orlando -- averaged 82,000 viewers. The pregame show averaged more: 131,000. The lead-in for the NWSL coverage was the movie "Two Weeks Notice," which averaged 237,000. (h/t: sportstvratings.com)

2016: 65K (FS1, Aug. 30)
2015: 91K (FS1, Aug. 9)
2014: 177K (ESPN2, July 20)
2013: 63K (Fox Soccer, July 14)

The NWSL will have 22 regular-season games air on Lifetime. The NWSL Game of the Week will air every Saturday beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET with a 30-minute pregame show leading up to kickoff at 3 p.m. ET. Lifetime will also air all three postseason games.

The exclusive streaming partner in the United States will be go90, which will air all other 98 regular-season games.
