Maxwell Leadership Pro-Am Pairs Amateurs with Legends of the Game

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic, a premier event on the PGA TOUR Champions, has announced that The John Maxwell Company is the new title sponsor of its annual pro-am tournament through 2020. Now known as the Maxwell Leadership Pro-Am, the event will span two days and offers a chance for participants to play a round of golf with a PGA TOUR Champions legend competing at TPC Sugarloaf during tournament week.

This year’s Maxwell Leadership Pro-Am will be held on April 12-13 at TPC Sugarloaf, while the Mitsubishi Electric Classic official rounds will take place April 14-16 and televised live on the Golf Channel.

“Two of my passions in life are leadership and golf - both are challenging, offer life lessons across generations, and allow anyone willing to be coached the opportunity to significantly improve,” said John C. Maxwell, founder and chairman of The John Maxwell Company. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with the Mitsubishi Electric Classic and the PGA TOUR Champions by sponsoring the Maxwell Leadership Pro-Am. It’s the perfect event to celebrate the leadership achievements of our clients.”

The cost of playing in the Maxwell Leadership Pro-Am is $3,000 for one person and $11,000 for a foursome on either Wednesday or Thursday. Participants receive a variety of tickets for the week, invitations to the Tuesday evening Northside Hospital Kickoff Party, a gift package featuring Ralph Lauren, Swiss Army, Titleist, and FootJoy, as well as the “money-can’t-buy” experience of playing with a PGA TOUR Champions legend.

“We’re thrilled to have The John Maxwell Company partner with us as we strive to provide a unique and immersive experience for the golfers in our pro-am,” said Stan Hall, executive director of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. “Each year, we hear from our professional golfers that the pro-am is one of the most enjoyable parts of tournament week, and this new partnership with The John Maxwell Company will help to further position this event as one of the best amateur experiences on the PGA TOUR Champions.”
