New Board Members Join Good Sports Team

Nonprofit Organization is Dedicated to Providing Sports Equipment to Disadvantaged Youth

David Pace of Pace Sports and Charles Veysey of Charity Partners, Inc.– both Hingham, Mass. residents – will join the Good Sports Board of Directors and Board of Advisors, respectively, bringing years of experience and expertise in business and partnership development to the nonprofit’s mission of getting more kids in the game. Good Sports is a national nonprofit that provides athletic equipment to disadvantaged youth nationwide through partnerships with major sporting goods manufacturers, and has helped more than 800,000 children engage in a wide range of sports and fitness opportunities since 2003.

David Pace is the founder and President of Pace Sports, a strategic advisor to consumer brands and sports organizations. David focuses on critical sports marketing and licensing strategies, as well as investments and acquisitions in the consumer products and sports industries. Prior to Pace Sports, David served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Reebok. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Suffolk University Law School, David commenced his career at national law firm Ropes & Gray in Boston.

In addition to Good Sports, David currently serves on the Boards of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Sport in Society Center at Northeastern University. David is also a part-time faculty member at Northeastern University and serves as a member of the Town’s Personnel Board of Hingham.

Prior to Charity Partners, Veysey was at Vision Sports and Entertainment Partners (acquired by The Active Network), CitySearch, Inc. and Nantucket Nectars. A graduate of the University of Montana, Veysey served as President of the Associates Board for the Nantucket Conservation Foundation and resides in Hingham, Mass. with his family.

Good Sports’ 22-member Board of Directors includes diverse representatives from a wide array of industries, including the sports, financial, nonprofit and media fields. Good Sports’ 19-member Board of Advisors includes representatives from the professional sports, sports media and youth sports fields.
