11 Apr, 2013
The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitor Bureau (CVB) is proud to announce that al.com and Montgomery Multisport have agreed to sponsor the Capital of Dreams Triathlon and Kids Duathlon April 27-28, 2013. Produced by Team Magic, this event will be the first of its kind held in Montgomery and the River Region.
Montgomery Multisport is a premiere swim, bike and run facility based in Montgomery, Alabama. They are supporting this event through sponsorship as well as providing bike techs and other race day assistance. “Montgomery Multisport is very excited about the Capital of Dreams Triathlon Weekend. The reputation and view of the city from those who do not normally visit will be changed for the positive when they see the great venue for this triathlon including a transition area in the Union Station train shed, finish at the beautiful Riverfront Park facility, and a kid's duathlon finishing in Riverwalk Stadium. Who could ask for more?” says co-owner Greg Miles.
Al.com is a division of Alabama Media Group, a news organization encompassing all content, marketing and sales operations for: The Mobile Press-Register, The Birmingham News and The Huntsville Times. Al.com opened a Montgomery hub in 2012. “AL.com is pleased to make this investment and work with the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau to bring more people to the city to experience this vibrant triathlon,” said Cindy Martin, President of Alabama Media Group.
“With the assistance from these generous sponsors we have been able to broaden our reach to bring in athletes, their families and spectators that will make this inaugural Capital of Dreams Triathlon a great success for the city,” said Dawn Hathcock, Vice President of CVB.
