Ashaway Racket Strings has announced it will sponsor the 2014-15 U.S. Junior National Racquetball Team sanctioned by USA Racquetball. Team members were announced on June 28th at the Awards Dinner for the 2014 Junior Olympic Championships in Denver, CO. The Championship is racquetball's premier junior event in which junior players from across the U.S. compete in more than 50 divisions in Olympic play format. Finalists in the 18 and Under, 16 and Under, and 14 and Under Singles divisions, and champions in the respective Doubles divisions earn one-year appointments to the U.S. Junior National Team.

"Ashaway is pleased to announce this new sponsorship program which will benefit all U.S. Junior Team members as they represent their country over the following year," said Ashaway Vice President Steve Crandall. "As part of the program, Ashaway has provided each Junior Team Member with a complimentary reel of string to start off the year, and will provide an additional reel during the middle of the season."

"We very much welcome the support of Ashaway for this year's U.S. Junior National Team," said Steve Czarnecki, USA Racquetball Executive Director. "Ashaway has been a strong supporter of junior racquetball programs for many years, and is not only the Official String of USA Racquetball, but is the only U.S. manufacturer of racquetball strings."

Boys on the Junior National Team received Ashaway's new PowerKill® Pro, a powerful durable string produced from Zyex® and nylon fibers for the heaviest hitters. Girls received Ashaway's new PowerKill 17, a powerful combination of Zyex and nylon designed to provide a superior combination of playability and durability. Esprit team members received Ashaway's popular SuperKill® XL, a multifilament nylon string noted for its excellent playability and bite on the ball.
