USA Triathlon has extended its long-term partnership and technology agreement with ACTIVE Network®, the premier global marketplace for activities and events and the industry's leading provider of data solutions.

Reinforcing ACTIVE's commitment to the triathlon industry, ACTIVE will continue to provide its best-in-class event management and registration platforms for USA Triathlon's four owned National Championships, as well as many of its series races and non-owned National and Regional Championships. The expanded relationship will now utilize ACTIVE's pioneering data insights solutions for many branded events across the United States. In addition, the two organizations will coordinate an effort to leverage ACTIVE's data analytics and intelligence to create a series of industry insights that track current trends and development in the fast and dynamic sport of triathlon. ACTIVE presented a session on "Guiding Future Events through Insights from the Past" at today's USA Triathlon Race Director Symposium.

"ACTIVE and USA Triathlon have been working together since 2011, and with this announcement, we are very excited to share the news that ACTIVE will continue its long-term service and commitment to the triathlon community," said Sam Renouf, General Manager of Sports at ACTIVE Network. "As the sport continues to drive more participation and interest, we are excited to deepen our partnership with USA Triathlon to uncover market and participant trends by offering event directors access to one-of-a-kind data insights tools that will empower their ability to make actionable, data-driven business decisions that can uncover better ways to fuel the growth of their events. These industry insights are essential for event directors as they look to capture more wallet share from their event lifecycle, and maximize their organization's commercial potential."

"ACTIVE Network is a long-time partner of USA Triathlon, and we look forward to the continued support from ACTIVE through 2018 and beyond," said Chuck Menke, USA Triathlon Chief Marking Officer. "The insights provided by ACTIVE help to shape the use of technology for the sport of triathlon, and our relationship helps provide our family of coaches and race directors with data insights to enhance offerings for both their athletes and events."

As part of their multi-year relationship, USA Triathlon will utilize four of ACTIVE's innovative technology platforms. ACTIVE will continue to be the exclusive technology platform for all four USA Triathlon-owned, controlled and operated events: Age Group National Championships, Collegiate Club National Championships, Duathlon National Championships and Youth & Junior National Championships.

Beginning in 2017, the agreement will expand to include non-owned National and Regional Championship events, as well as many races held as part of the Retro Tri Series, Duathlon Race Series, Splash & Dash Youth Aquathlon Series and future ITU World Triathlon Series races held in the U.S.USA Triathlon and its affiliates will use ACTIVEWorks® Endurance and the ACTIVE On-Site mobile application to manage online and on-site race registrations and payments, participant check-in and race-day registration updates. USA Triathlon and ACTIVE will also leverage ACTIVE Network Activity Cloud®, the industry's leading-edge data platform, to gain insights about events and participants, and connect these insights with USA Triathlon trends to help event directors more effectively operate their events.

USA Triathlon will also leverage ACTIVE's Virtual Event BagsTM technology platform to offer triathlon participants a more convenient way to access valuable merchandise offers from sponsors and supporters prior to race day. This highly scalable technology platform also helps triathlon organizers more effectively connect sponsors with participants through a customized, mobile-responsive micro-site that serves as a central messaging hub for sponsor. For the triathlon industry, ACTIVE now delivers event and participant management, data insights, timing and virtual event bags together in a robust, one-stop-shop solution.
