Recreational fishing has a significant economic impact on communities throughout the U.S. But what does that really mean?

The American Sportfishing Association (ASA) teamed up with Southwick Associates to create the 2019 Economic Contributions of Recreational Fishing: U.S. Congressional Districts. This also illustrates recreational fishing’s economic impact on all 435 Congressional districts and the 50 states.

America's 49 million anglers generate nearly $50 billion in retail sales with a $125 billion impact on the nation's economy creating employment for more 800,000 people.
